Designed for use with softer reeds due to the width of the tip rail being wider, whilst still retaining the rich velvety sound throughout the registers of your clarinet. This Mouthpiece shares the same tip opening and facing with the B45, one of the most popular and long standing models in the Vandoren range. Designed in collaboration with Jean-Paul Gauvin (Vandoren’s main mouthpiece designer) the B40 has a strong robust feel, allowing for an excellent dynamic range and focused tone. This mouthpiece is suitable for playing many different genres of music and is a firm favourite of beginner, intermediate and professional clarinetists.
