In 1924 violin maker Franz Sandner founded his company in Schönbach. With the patiently acquired skills and natural love of craftsmanship, precision and artistic perfection Franz Sandner was able to establish its position on the world market quite quickly. After the Second World War the company moved to Nauheim. In 1958 Franz Sandners daughter Sonja and her husband Richard Schuh joined the company and established the foundation to enter the worldwide export market. In 1979 their son Dietmar Schuh – the third generation – took over Franz Sandner Co. and achieved continuous and sustainable development. Since 1992 Soraya Schuh has supported her husband. Today, Franz Sandner Co. sells instruments in 60 countries worldwide. To strengthen global competitiveness, Franz Sandner Co. established a joint-venture with the renowned Taiwanese instrument manufacturer Dynasty Co. Ltd. in 2003. Franz Sandner Co. continues to produce in Germany, but in- struments are also being manufactured in China under the name Sandner Dynasty.

Stentor cellos are carved from solid tonewoods with inlaid purfling and individually thicknessed for quality of sound. It has an ebony fingerboard and ebony pegs and is fitted with a composite tailpiece with integral adjusters (1/10 and 1/16 size have alloy tailpiece with integral adjusters). The outfit includes a quality full mounted wood bow with natural horsehair and ebony frog. The cello is protected in a well-designed padded nylon cover with safety reflectors, bow and accessory pockets and back straps.

The Stentor Conservatoire cello outfit is chosen by intermediate players and above and often recommended by teachers as a step-up instrument for students.

A refined handmade Cello, with a classic German style and colour and an antiqued finish. It has a selected Spruce top (seasoned for a minimum of 5 years) with a flamed maple back and ribs. The CC-6 has Ebony fingerboard, tailpiece and fittings with Jargar strings. All of our bowed-stringed instruments are professionally set up in our own workshops and ready to play.
