The Remo Encore heads are the price-performance star from Remo’s head range. The heads are manufactured in the Taiwanese Remo factory according to the design of their American siblings.
The Evans Genera B14GEN Snare Head is a batter side head suitable for all 14” snare drums. The double-ply head features a 2mm overtone control ring on the underside to eliminate excessive overtones. Tonally the head has a warm sound with a focused attack and minimal sustain.
The 10mil single-ply Evans Power Center Reverse Dot snare drumhead delivers both durability and focus in the center, via a 5mil patch. What’s more, unique slots in the drumhead’s 5″ diameter let the head flex, keeping it open at the edges and free to vibrate at any dynamic level. On the underside, the dot on the Evans Power Center Reverse Dot is out of the way for brushes.
EVANS EC Reverse Dot snare heads deliver a clean, crisp tone, using Sound Shaping Technology (SST) to pre-EQ and remove muddy, mid-range overtones. The frost coated 7mil top ply and 10mil bottom ply provide a controlled response but maintain resonance and sensitivity at all tuning and dynamic ranges, while the 3mil Reverse Dot delivers extra durability, focus, and attack in the center. EVANS EC Reverse Dot snare heads have a moderate attack, sustain, and tone, with above average durability, thanks to the Reverse dot and double ply construction. This coated drumhead also features Level 360 Technology.
Evans “Super Tough” snare heads feature two plies of 7.5mil film. The ST ensures durability and a full-bandwidth rimshot sound. It delivers all the volume and ring needed, yet responds to even the flick of a fingernail.. Precision-drilled dry vents around the perimeter of head reduce overtones and control sustain.
EVANS HD (Heavy Duty) Dry snare heads balance durability and sonic response with advanced overtone control provided by precision-drilled dry vents. HD Dry heads are made with a coated outer ply of 5mil film and an inner ply of 7.5mil film, plus a 2mil control ring on the underside of the head and dry vents around the perimeter to eliminate stray overtones. HD Dry heads have a semi-defined attack, with short sustain and a bit less brightness than standard HD heads. This coated head also features Level 360 Technology.
